"Of course," he replied with a smile. "When someone so important to us is in trouble, they all wanted to csee you. But thankfully, you're okay. | asked them to go back home, leaving justto stay with you." Nolan then sat by the bed, gently kissing her hands.
"I'm just glad | made it in time. When | saw you lying there, | thought my heart would stop. You scaredto death. | won't let you do anything that dangerous again. And don't worry about dealing with Domingo's case." Regina's voice was soft. "Was it Domingo who hurt me?" Nolan nodded. "It was all Madeline's doing. | never imagined she'd hate you this much, even convincing her father to harm you. If | hadn't tricked them into thinking Madeline's life was in my hands, who knows how long it would've taken to find you."
